Getting a casual job
Ms Beemster the Careers Advisor (located in A Block) is happy to provide one on one interviews to help students -
- construct and improve their resume
- work out where to apply for a casual job.
- with interview preparation.
Parents are also welcome to call Ms Beemster at school for support with their child.
Large employers like Coles, Woolworths, McDonalds, and KFC have an online application process. Smaller employers are happy to receive resumes in person.
You will need -
An easy to read email address
- not your school email address
A Tax File Number - Apply online
- When you have printed the form with your information on it - visit Woy Woy Post Office. There is no need to book an interview at Woy Woy, they accept walk-ins.
- You will need to take two forms of ID - Either an original birth certificate (not a copy) or a passport (it can be up to 3 years expired) PLUS a Medicare Card or Student ID card or bank statement or an ATM card.
A bank account in your own name.
- Students who have turned 14 Years do not need a parent / carer with them when they apply.
COMMONWEALTH BANK - Branches at Woy Woy and Umina branch with a birth certificate or passport and your Tax File Number (see above).
NAB - Branches at Gosford and Erina Fair - You will need a passport or Medicare Card.
WESTPAC - passport or birth certificate and Medicare Card.
credit unions - would have accounts for teenagers - see Mrs Beemster for help with research.
