We are holding a Year 8 Teenage Expo during Week 5.
The theme of the Expo is 'Potential' and the aim of the expo is to help students realise that each of them have potential in certain areas and how to use this to influence their lives in the future.
During the Expo students will be spoken to by the famous inspirational speakers 'Sonya & Sacha' and they will be accompanied by three up and coming young singer songwriters who will perform on the day.
The students will also get some time at the end to access services/organisations that agreed to give up their time to join us on the day. i.e. Headspace, Evolution, local gyms and we are hoping that a number of TAFE's/ Universities will also be present. This time will allow students to access information from the services to again help them tap into their potentials to succeed in future endeavours.
The Teenage Expo this year is travelling all around Australia to different schools. Schools had to apply for this event and we were lucky enough to be accepted. The same Expo will be presented at Woy Woy on the same day. The Expo at our Campus will only be presented to Year 8 students and it will be on during period 4 & 5 on Thursday the 26th May. (The senior campus is on the same day - Periods 1 & 2).
We are looking forward to fun times with Year 8 :)
